…and sometimes we just need a quiet place to clear our heads.
It is so very important to finding some quiet time among the hustle and bustle that permeates our lives. In order to achieve good health in the mind and body, give yourself daily permission to explore inner peace that is so necessary. I always find at least 30 minutes each day to unplug by finding a quiet space, light some of my favorite incense or a candle and tune IN. I don’t try to ‘ignore’ what my mind is doing, but simple awareness of what’s going on. And just like a leaf floating on the water, allow those thoughts, worries, stresses drift downstream. By doing this simple act of clearing the clutter in my head, I find that I become much more mindful of my actions and reactions, which makes me, and everyone else around me, happier and more at ease.
Whether you have an hour, 20 minutes or 5 minutes to ‘spare’ – take it. Once a day is all it takes, but do it once a day and over a short period of time you will see a positive difference.
